Big Plans Are On The Horizon For Gwyneth Paltrow’s Lifestyle Site, Goop

When we first got word of Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle site, Goop, we have to admit: we never thought it would evolve into what it is now.

Starting as a weekly newsletter offering personal recipes and tips in 2008, the brand has transformed into a full-blown e-commerce go-to, teaming with exclusive labels like Stella McCartney and Mother of Pearl. Well now the movie-star-turned-lifestyle-guru is ready to take her company even further!

According to Business of Fashion, Paltrow and her team are in the process of raising money to move forward with its own branded products – and their latest collaboration with organic beauty line, Juice Beauty, is helping them get there.

“We don’t have tens of millions of dollars to sink into research and development. This way, we don’t have to start from square one. We won’t necessarily follow this structure every time,” Paltrow told BOF.

While Goop declined to announce how much it aims to raise, BOF hinted that a branded product is soon to come – with sources telling them that a deal will “be announced within the year.” And given Paltrow’s previous success with exclusive Goop products, we can’t wait to see what else the company unveils.
