Bottega Veneta’s Pre-Fall 2015 is A Burst of Color

Fall never looked as colorful as when Tomas Maier’s new collection for Bottega Veneta hit the runway for Pre-Fall 2015. It features a psychedelic mix of prints and bright solid colors designed to raise your spirits on cold fall days.

This collection features seasonal reds, rust and gray elements, and bright patches of pink and greens.

The collection presented a smart mix of materials, including transitional fabrics for the changing weather. There were calfskin duffle coats and chunky cashmere knits, as well as vintage fabrics like herringbone and gingham tweeds. Maier also presented many leather pieces and tailored satin.

In a very Bottega Veneta fashion, a heavy emphasis was also placed on the exquisite accessories. The brand’s signature intrecciato bags were featured on the runway, along with woven leather and python purses.

The palette was dominated by bright, color blocked solids. This colorful treatment was softened by a splash of dark spray paint in some pieces. Psychedelic prints inspired by the 70s and pleats also added a playful element to the collection.

The collection’s shoes were also conversation starters- featuring an intriguing array of 70’s-inspired futuristic leather boots and block-heeled moccasins. The contrasting color details delivered the same exciting promise of brighter fall days.
