Charli XCX to Launch ’90s-Inspired Clothing Collection, Jussie Smollett of Empire Is Fronting a Fall Campaign and More Stylish News

You guys, we made it to Friday. But before we start celebrating the weekend, let’s take a few moments to highlight this week’s set of hardworking stars, who have forgone their vacation days to work on their own clothing collections, front fall campaign ads and more, below.

British pop-punk singer Charli XCX is taking her love of grunge fashion to the next level with a clothing collaboration with BooHoo.com for the holiday season.

The 20-piece capsule collection, composed of straight-from-the-’90s flirty dresses, chunky knits, matching sets and more, is inspired by her on- and off-stage style, and it will also feature a selection of curated accessories (we’re expecting bold backpacks, wide-brim hats and all the platform shoes).

“I had so much fun designing pieces for boohoo.com’s holiday collection,” the singer said in a statement. “I can’t wait to get it out there and to wear it myself. It’s a fun, bold and electrifying collection and I hope everyone loves it.”

She also Tweeted about her excitement for the upcoming collection. You’ll be able to dress just like Charli beginning Oct. 26, when styles become available on BooHoo.com.

And in Empire-related style news (since we know you’ve already created a calendar alert for the Saks collection): Jussie Smollett, who plays Jamal Lyon on the Fox TV show, has been tapped by Sean John, the men’s sportswear line, to front its fall/holiday ad campaign alongside Diddy’s son, Quincy Brown.

The campaign, dubbed Dream Big, “celebrates those young men who bring their dreams to fruition,” just as the two young actors have successfully done throughout their careers. In the series of ad images, the men don the collection’s latest styles: sleek, tailored suits and classic, city-ready leather jackets. (We’re totally pre-ordering the bomber for our significant others.)

And lastly, lifestyle blogger-slash-actress Jamie Chung posed in a Victoria’s Secret Pink anorak to give fans a sneak peek of the brand’s limited-edition jacket. The exclusive style, which is set to hit virtual shelves Friday at midnight, could be the transitional piece you’re looking for.
