Did Lady Gaga Just Recycle Her Oscars Gloves? (PHOTOS)

We assumed Lady Gaga‘s highly-memed-about red leather Oscars gloves were tucked away in a box under her bed or maybe returned to designer Azzedine Alaïa, the mastermind behind her custom gown and accessories. But it looks like Gaga just reintroduced the stunners back into her wardrobe.

The 29-year-old singer stepped out in N.Y.C. on Sunday in a covered-up look (for her), including a graphic T-shirt, polka-dot blazer, white skirt and a pair of crimson leather gloves that immediately gave us ‎déjà vu. Are they the same exact pair? Possibly. Or maybe not. But if anyone actually owned two pairs of gloves in that exact same style, it would be Gaga.

Gaga’s stylist Brandon Maxwell told PEOPLE in February that Azzedine Alaïa always imagined the dress with those accessories.

“The first thing he said was, ‘She needs to wear red gloves,” Maxwell told PEOPLE. “And you can’t really guess why a genius does what they do. From the moment he sent the sketch, he had red gloves, red in the hair and that’s what he saw and that’s what we chose to honor. We didn’t question it because he’s Alaïa.”
