For years, Birchbox has introduced us to the latest and greatest in beauty, so the progression to an original collection makes perfect sense. This week marks the debut of LOC Beauty, an affordable, but not completely overwhelming line of makeup that takes its cues from current trends.

Curated by beauty expert and YouTube star Tati Westbrook, the fall/winter collection includes 10 shades for the upcoming season with a price range of $8-$46. It should also be noted that everything is cruelty free and travel friendly, as evidenced by the pencil shaped packaging.

Now, a lot of you are probably wondering why a subscription service would want to have its own in-house line. Perhaps it would be overshadowed by the bigger names offered each month or better yet; because the beauty landscape is already filled with tens of thousands of names. Both of these are true.
