Surprise; our favorite “New Girl” Zooey Deschanel is pregnant with her very own new girl (or boy)!
“People” confirms the TV star and Jacob Pechenik are expecting their first child, after nearly a year of dating. Coincidentally, Zooey’s sister Emily (“Bones”) is also pregnant with her second child, which means we’ll be seeing lots of play dates in the coming year.
“Jacob and I are over the moon,” said the singer/actress in a statement today. “We are so excited to meet our little one.”
Update: “Us Weekly” exclusively confirms the expectant parents are also engaged, just a week after announcing their baby news. This will be the second marriage for Zooey, who divorced her ex Ben Gibbard in 2012.
