Emma Watson Takes The Green Carpet Challenge

Emma Watson is using her red carpet appearances to take a stand for ethical clothing.
The British star is currently promoting her new film “Regression” and simultaneously collaborating with the Green Carpet Challenge. In a post she shared on Instagram, Watson wrote about the inspiraion behind her fashion crusade.
“Inspired to consider the whole process of creating a fashion look, we are thinking about all the people, pieces and moving parts,” wrote her stylist Sarah Slutsky. “This rack includes designers that are considering local craft and production, artisan skills, the environment, sustainability and the longevity of fashion!”

So far Watson has worn five designers: Ralph Lauren for his commitment to not use fur products, Wes Gordon, for his collaboration with local artists, and London favorites Christopher Kane, EDUN and Erdem.
Her stylist also kept ethical clothing in mind when she selected accessories and shoes. According to Vogue UK, Watson was inspired to take on the challenge after watching the documentary “True Cost,” and is proving fashion can be stylish and environmentally conscientious.
