Emmys 2015: Amy Schumer Jokes She’s Keeping Cool Thanks to ‘a Bag of Frozen Peas in My …’

She sat front row at his show and was spotted trying on gowns in his studio, so it was a safe bet that multiple Emmy nominee Amy Schumer would hit the carpet wearing a Zac Posen gown. It was also a safe bet that she’d make a few hilarious jokes about her look.

PeopleStyle caught up with Schumer on the carpet, and she shared her secret to beating the extreme L.A. heat. (Note: It’s 100+ degrees in Southern California right now.)
“I have a bag of frozen peas in my p—y,” she quipped.

Schumer was joined by her sister Kim Caramele, who was also wearing a custom design by Zac Posen.
“We’re like the evil step sisters,” Schumer said of their strapless looks. “We’re pretty psyched.”
Schumer also opened up about her nominations, telling red carpet host Ryan Seacrest that she’s hoping to nab her nod for directing the Inside Amy Schumer episode “12 Angry Men.”
“I’m gunning for that one, if I’m being totally honest,” she said of the nod. “I wrote and directed it and I’m really hoping for a win.”

As for recently jumping on stage with Jennifer Lawrence the Billy Joel concert, Schumer explained it was a dream come true.
“Honestly, Billy Joel, I’ve been a groupie for years. Touring with him riding in the van, putting out.”
But standing on the piano wasn’t her idea. “I’m not trying to get to higher surfaces. I like things on the ground. I weigh a buck 50 — let’s keep me low.”
