Emmys 2015: Brad Goreski Picks Gowns for Nominees That’ll Guarantee a Best-Dressed Spot

With three days to go before the Emmy Awards on Sunday, you can guarantee that celebs and their stylists are frantically zipping up samples, sending shoes all over town and matching jewelry to necklines. And with the close proximity of Fashion Week to the big night, there are even more glam, hot-off-the-runway options to choose from. Luckily, Brad Goreski did some shopping for celebs we’ll see on Sunday’s red carpet. You can thank him in chocolate later.

Goreski picks a Marchesa gown for Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany, saying “Tatiana plays so many different characters on Orphan Black that get down and dirty. It would be great for her to give us a romantic, sexy, glamorous moment on the Emmys red carpet in this dress.”

He loves this Monique Lhuillier for Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss (“Elisabeth always makes brave fashion choices and this Monique Lhuillier gown is modern and cool, just like she is.”)

And he says this lilac Carolina Herrera would sing on How to Get Away With Murder’s Viola Davis: “I love this color for Viola. It would be so beautiful. She is a gorgeous woman and I think this fashion forward Carolina Herrera gown would be heaven on her.”

He also was singing the praises of the “barefaced” beauty looks seen on many runways, which makes sense, seeing as he’s an ambassador for Acuvue’s 1-Day Define contact lenses, which are meant to enhance the natural beauty of your eye. “I loved the ‘no makeup’ makeup look at Zac Posen, Oscar de la Renta and Givenchy.
