Everything Is Turning Up Gold For The Public School Boys

The boys behind the brand Pubilc School have had quite the last couple of years. It probably really started with them going through the CFDA Incubator program and deciding to not only put the business on hold for a few season but to do a full scale relaunch. That decision was followed by not only a CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund win in 2013 but also a winning slot as the CFDA Menswear Designers of the Year.

It was quite a bit of notoriety bringing with it high profile collaborations with the likes of J. Crew but the wins also brought the company attention elsewhere and they embarked on what seemed to be a yearlong series of collaborations fashioning everything from bags to sneakers. All the while they expanded their business, launching womenswear and further infiltrating the men’s market.

Well that infiltration of the market is about to get yet another boost with the firm’s latest accolade. After being selected as the US representative for the inaugural men’s category of the International Woolmark Prize, the boys of Public School have taken home the gold! That’s 100,000 Australian dollars that is about to be funneled back into critical parts of their company like fabric sourcing, not to mention the fact that the competition was truly international, pitting them against competitors from all around the globe.
