GAP & Virgin Hotels Are Putting A Fashionable Spin On Room Service

If there’s one thing we can all admit to taking advantage of when traveling, it would have to be room service. The whole idea of having your wants and needs brought to the door of your very own room is one that can never get old. In fact, thanks to Gap’s latest partnership, it seems to actually be getting better!

The American retailer teamed up with Virgin Hotels to give a fashionable twist to the term, ‘room service’ – but only for guests in Chicago, as of now. The service makes use of Gap’s Reserve In Store Technology, which allows online shoppers to place Gap items on hold via Lucy, the hotel’s mobile application. Customers then get notified when their styles are available for pickup, and the hotel concierge takes it from there. To make things even better, if there’s a change of heart and the guest decides not to buy the item, it can be left in the closet and picked up for a return.

We have a feeling this is the start to something pretty major. After all, with Gap offering some of the most affordable wardrobe basics, no fashion maven could ever deny a closet must-have being brought to their very own door.
