It’s nearly impossible to keep up with all the hair changes happening in Hollywood right now. In the past 24 hours alone, Katy Perry added blonde streaks to her mane, Gigi Hadid debuted dip-dyed blue tips, Katie Holmes went for a bob and Max Greenfield became a blond (exhausting, we know). But leave it to Kylie Jenner, master of social media beauty moments, to upstage everyone with her latest look. (Click to see!)
The reality star, who turns 18 on August 10, revealed a photo of herself with super-light brown hair on Snapchat. It’s a look that had some of us getting Angelina Jolie vibes, while others were seeing a straight-up resemblance to big sis Khloé Kardashian.
Now, before you cancel your weekend plans to analyze what this new hue could possibly mean, remember that the youngest Jenner loves to temporarily switch up her look with wigs and extensions. Remember back in April when she kicked off her trip to Coachella with turquoise hair? She went to back to brunette shortly after, but then decided to go blue again in July, stepping out with a pastel hue.
Whether it’s a wig, extensions or her own hair, Jenner will no doubt continue to inspire her bazillion followers to experiment with a new beauty look — a mass fan reaction, she told PEOPLE, that always amazes her.
“I never encouraged people to line their lips or wear lip liner, but I like it,” she said. “It was wild — and the blue hair was pretty big too. Honestly, I feel if I had never chopped my hair off or dyed it blue and it was still the same three years ago, then there wouldn’t be that much hype. There are so many girls that I see wearing blue hair. I saw this girl at a carnival and it was like super casual — ‘Hey, can I get a picture’ — and her nails were exactly how mine were the week before, the design and everything. But it’s crazy because I don’t realize how many people like the things that I do.”
Edited: In the time it took us to write this, she posted a pic on Insta with the darker strands, so we’re assuming our first guess (“WIG!”) was right. But we won’t rule out a latergram either. Just presenting the facts, y’all.
