Lea Michele: I Still Wear Rachel Berry’s Clothes All the Time

Love Lea Michele‘s wardrobe? If you answered “yes,” you’re in luck, because you can now own a piece of the Scream Queens star’s closet!

The stylish star has partnered with eDrop-Off to auction off some of her favorite dresses she’s worn on the red carpet (and in a few music videos!), along with Oprah, Alexa Chung and more celebs, to benefit the charity of her choice, Step Up Women’s Network.
“Step Up is such an awesome program that supports young girls with positivity and guides them in a positive direction for a bright future,” she tells PEOPLE. “I love everything [it] stands for and the positive influence [it] gives to this generation’s young women.”
Michele says donating some of her cherished pieces is a great way to cleanse her closet and, of course, benefit others.
“I think it’s good to get rid of clutter and have a clean organized space,” she says. “And if I’m not wearing something, I donate it.”
But there are a few sentimental items she can’t part with: old sweaters from her mother. “She gets me a new [sweater] every year [for my birthday], and I could never get rid of them.”

Other pieces she holds on to? Looks from her past characters’ closets, including Rachel Berry’s preppy wardrobe.
“I have a few things that I took from [Rachel’s] closet at the end of Glee,” she says. “Some sweaters and jackets, dresses, and I actually wear them all the time!”

But that doesn’t mean she’s ready to “borrow” a few pieces from Hester’s (her Scream Queens character) wardrobe.
“Not yet!” she laughs. “Hester’s wardrobe is a little different, to say the least, from mine. But there are some pretty fantastic coats and shoes that the Chanels get to wear that I have my eye on!”
