Versace reveals Yellow Diamond Intense fragrance

Donatella Versace has revealed a new women’s fragrance inspired by the light of yellow diamonds.
The new floral frag is an eau de parfum flanker for the Yellow Diamond scent, which first appeared in 2011. Mixed by Alberto Morillas of Firmenich (famously one of the noses behind CK One), the fragrance is an intense new version of the original.
“Yellow diamonds are my personal passion, and so Yellow Diamond Intense is very special to me,” explains Donatella Versace. “The scent is like the light that comes from a yellow diamond, brilliant and bright, mysterious and alluring, and always intense.”
Opening with bergamot, lemon, neroli and fresh pear sorbet, the scent develops a heart of jasmine petals and osmanthus as well as orange blossom and freesia. The dry down is composed of amber wood and palo santo along with benzoin and musk.
Appearing in 30ml, 50ml, and 90ml variations, the scent is held in a glass bottle with a jewel-cap and the Yellow Diamond Intense packaging comes in electric blue and gold. The fragrance will be released in Italy this month, hitting the rest of Europe and the United States in September.
The campaign will roll over from the first Yellow Diamond launch and stars Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw, who was shot by Mario Testino.
