It was all about the details on day five of London Fashion Week.

Sure the clothes was amazing, but it was the accessories, from the striped beanies at Ashley Williams to the skateboards at Ashish.

The last day of #LFW gave us the inspiration to take our accessories game up to the next level. With the common theme of bolder is better, Anya Hindmarch did what she did best and gave the audience a psychedelic trip with diagonal stripes and optical illusions taking over the handbags she is known for. Also an accessory we are going to see everywhere come spring 2016: the ascot, which Hindmarch used with a signature bold print.

At Ashish it was all sequins, but with skateboards taking over the runways, and as Vogue UK put it, “clearly, a skateboard is the new handbag.” While that might be a slight exaggeration, Ashley Williams embraced the power of a good accessory from the slouchy beanies on her models head, evoking naptime, to the oversized keychains-esque handbags to the tiaras and statement necklaces.

The only accessory we couldn’t support were the roosters at Victoria Beckham’s Victoria, Victoria Beckham presentation. However, we will take the oversized floral leather tote.
