Pamela Anderson Is Making Vegan Fashion ’90s Sexy

“Baywatch” babe Pamela Anderson defined the ’90s with her platinum blonde hair and larger than life… personality, so it is no surprise the decade is the inspiration for her latest fashion endeavour.

Teaming up with French designer Amélie Pichard, Anderson is launching a vegan accessories line inspired by Malibu and Saint Tropez. The longtime PETA activist found Pichard on Instagram, according to WWD, as the designer often posts pictures of Anderson from her red swimsuit days. Pichard considers Anderson one of her muses, and has even named a pump style after her.

A match made in fashion heaven, the collection is seven shoe styles and a beach bag “all fabricated of nontoxic and breathable plastic, cottons, acrylics and rubbers sourced in France and Italy.” So how ’90s is the collection?

Think patchwork denim, metallic red leather, faux of course, and plexiglass heels. And the collection had only one mission: to prove vegans can be sexy.

“Vegans can be sexy- super fun, super stylish and conscious,” Anderson said. because young people want to make better choices when it comes to consuming, when it comes to fashion. We need more sustainable choices when it comes to handbags and shoes.”

The collection will be available on December 10 at Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles. Price range from $450 to $950, and famed photographer David LaChapelle will photograph Anderson for a promotional campaign.
