Lupita Nyong’o Gets Her ‘Dream Come True’: Tea With Alek Wek

Lupita Nyong’o shared a very special moment on camera soon after her place as People’s ‘Most Beautiful’ was announced last week.

The actress had her “dream come true” when she sat down with international supermodel and living inspiration, Alek Wek. It was only February when Nyong’o gave her powerful speech at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, where she spoke of the model’s impact on her self-image.

“I couldn’t believe that people were embracing a woman who looked so much like me as beautiful,” the 30-year-old said in her Essence speech. “It was perplexing and I wanted to reject it because I had begun to enjoy the seduction of inadequacy. But a flower couldn’t help but bloom inside of me.”

Like a dream come true, People magazine arranged for the beauties to sit and chat, over tea.
