Lupita Nyong’o Is The Belle Of THE Cannes Film Festival Ball

While cinephiles might be drooling over the prospect of Jared Leto being the judge for the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, everyone else was focused on Lupita Nyong’o during the Opening Ceremony. As many have quickly labeled the event “the most fashionable red carpet event of the year,” stars such as Julianne Moore, Karlie Kloss, and Natalie Portman failed to stunt past the immeasurable talent known as Miss Lupita Nyong’o.

The Oscar award winning actress arrived in full regalia. From her hairdo being wrapped with a jeweled, tiara-esque headband to her ethereal Gucci Première gown, the Star Wars: Force Awakens performer stood out from the crowd. Her jade number even featured a cape, embellished crystal details, and hand-painted silk flowers. Her satin platform heels and a blush pink clutch with an antique gold cat head closure added an element of funkiness to her chic outfit.

Add to the mix her dazzling earrings by Chopard and it was impressive that she didn’t make the rest of the red carpet competition just hop on a private jet and leave the area. One thing is for sure, Lupita Nyong’o’s ensemble was definitely twirl-worthy, and the 32-year-old Mexican-Kenyan actress deserved to stunt on the people just one good time as she made her way into the La Tete Haute premiere.
