Marchesa to launch fine jewelry line

Marchesa, the New York City-based luxury label headed by designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, will be releasing its first jewelry in time for the holiday season.

The brand has signed a deal with Prestige Jewelry to produce two new jewelry lines set to hit stores later this year.

The first collection will be designed to complement the Marchesa bridal collections and will feature 20 different styles of engagement rings, wedding bands, earrings, pendants, and solitaire stones with prices ranging from $2,000 to over $20,000. “Our bridal business is growing rapidly over the past few years, so it seems like a natural fit to offer jewelry in the market,” Marchesa CEO Edward Chapman outlined.

The Spring 2015 collection will see Marchesa move beyond bridal, with a line featuring different styles in colored gemstones and diamonds. Both collections will hit Macy’s stores and Macys.com from November this year.

“It’s someone who really appreciates details,” said Prestige Jewelry CEO Rajiv Kothari, explaining the Marchesa customer; “It’s someone who wants to step outside of the regular engagement rings that are out there.” We can’t wait to see the final products.
