Virtual reality is the latest new trend, and the fashion world is taking it by storm. With publications like Elle magazine and labels like Dior giving the new venture a spin, there was only an amount of time before fashion designers jumped on board. And now Rebecca Minkoff is the latest brand name to capitalize on the technology.

The New York-based label debuted a virtual reality headset that allows you to view its runway show in the comfort of your own home. So if sitting front row is an accomplishment on your bucket list, now’s the time to check it off! In an effort to give fans a personal fashion experience, Minkoff filmed her fall 2015 runway show and is allowing fans to relive the moment – via an innovative headset and the click of an iPhone.

With a simple cardboard set – that went on sale for 24.99 on rebeccaminkoff.com – users are able to download the exclusive catwalk and experience the moment of a fashion A-lister. “We’re the first fashion brand to democratize access to VR by making it available to our audience at home, or anyone who has a Google Cardboard headset,” Uri Minkoff, Rebecca Minkoff CEO, told Racked. “The great thing about our platform is that it doesn’t require a super-expensive computer. For $20, you can put your phone into a cardboard headset and be transported to the front row at our fashion row.”

But when it comes to bridging the gap between technology and fashion, Minkoff has always been one of the first to jump on board. The virtual reality announcement comes after the retailer announced its partnership with eBay to design “connected” stores with touch screens in fitting rooms. And we can’t forget when the designer teamed up with Case-Mate last year for a stylish tech accessories range.
