Peyton List Is the New Face of Bongo (and PEOPLE Has a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Her First Shoot!)

Peyton List is joining Lucy Hale, AnnaSophia Robb and Vanessa Hudgens as the next Bongo girl! The Disney star is the face of the popular teen brand’s new fall 2015 campaign. PEOPLE caught up with List to find out all about her new gig, plus, the latest on her adorable pup, Windsor, who makes a cameo in some of the ads.

“Sometimes, I get up and instead of going on Instagram, I think about 10 things I am super thankful for and right now there are more than 10 things I am thankful for,” List tells PEOPLE. “When I was little I wanted to be a Bongo girl and be an actress — I am living my dream, it’s just awesome.”

The campaign is called “Styled By Peyton,” because — you guessed it — she styled the shoot herself. And after telling us her style icon is Olivia Palermo (the ultimate queen of accessorizing), it’s easy to see that List may have picked up a few pointers from her idol. (Judging by the photo below, she totally has that retro ’70s vibe down.)

The fall collection includes a wide range of pieces, from causal denim, statement T-shirts, colorful plaid tops, to dressier sheer paneled dresses and leather mini skirts — all sold exclusively at Sears and Kmart.

To help her modeling skills on set (okay, not like she really needs it — she’s a pro at the smize), List had to pose with her number one fan (her pup), Windsor. “There is a crazy story behind Windsor. I was living in Brooklyn and he ran into a restaurant that my family and I were eating in.” Then, they saved him from being sent to the pound and took him home. “We put up signs, but secretly I didn’t want anyone to claim him and no one ever did. So he became ours and we moved him to Hollywood with us and now he’s on sets. It’s crazy, he’s living the high life.”

Other fun things to know about List? She’s a big foodie. “I think I get that from my dad because growing up in New York in the restaurant business he would constantly be introducing me to food. I love to cook with him at home.”

And whenever she’s not on set modeling or acting she loves to play the guitar. “I love to sing — whenever I am not on set I am usually in my room jamming out with my guitar.”

So what’s next for the trendsetter? Her Mean Girls-meets-Revenge of the Nerds film, Outskirts (coming out in November). And hopefully a lot more Bongo ads, too!
