#PFW Day 7 Recap: Designers Deliver Unique Pieces For Fall 2014

Remember when we desperately wanted flaforms and any shoe with a platform to disappear in 2014? Stella McCartney may have changed our minds for fall as she delivered one of the hottest shoes to hit the runway since fashion week started in New York. It’s a flatform oxford. Leave it to a British designer showing in Paris to have us set on something we despised. Saint Laurent also delivered a hot shoe that takes us back to our childhood when all we wanted were a pair of glitter Mary-Janes to click our heels like Dorothy. Hedi Slimane is giving it to us in multiple options to play dress up next fall. Maybe not red, but there’s plenty of silver and gold to go around. Shoes weren’t the only think sparkling at Saint Laurent. Dresses and jackets twinkled as well. Remember when everyone couldn’t understand why Slimane thought it’ll be a good idea to go against what YSL is known for when we started designing rock star collections a couple of years ago? Well, let’s just say this is one break of freedom that successfully worked out.

 We’re not sure what we love most about this Stella McCartney look. The zipper and mountaineering squiggly detailing on the oversized coat, or the white-soled flatform oxfords.
