Plus-Size Model Ashley Graham Models Her Lingerie Line at Fashion Week

One of the perks to being a model-slash-designer is that you get to wear your own designs on the runway: Just ask Carrie Underwood and Lauren Conrad, both of whom got to experience that this week. But the latest celeb to sport her own pieces while strutting her stuff is a little bolder than most: It’s Ashley Graham, and her line is lingerie.

The groundbreaking plus-size model, who has made waves with her scantily-clad moments in Sports Illustrated and Lane Bryant ads, hit the runway sporting pieces from her Modern Boudoir collection for Addition Elle. She also got to take the designer’s bow after the models walked.

Graham, who is a size 14, has been the face of a movement encouraging women of all sizes to flaunt their figures. “It’s not about conforming; it’s a size I feel good at. I love my body, I love my super-hourglass shape and I love showing it off,” she has said, adding that she’s happy with her plus-size poster girl status. “Young girls don’t have much to look at, curvy women are not on covers of magazines, they’re not talked about on social media as much as other celebrities. Jennifer Lawrence is the media’s poster girl for curves — she’s tiny.”

But she also said that she’s looking forward to it not being news every time she hits the runway (whether clothed or in lingerie). “I believe that what I’m doing, and what other plus-size models of my generation are doing, is continuing to open that door for the next plus-size model to come in and to not be labeled as a plus-size girl, for her not to be judged by the number that’s inside of her pants, for her to be able to be on the cover of American Vogue and it not have the whole article be about, ‘Are you fat and happy?’” she tells PEOPLE.

What do you think of her model/designer runway walk?
