Sofia Vergara Tells People Her Bridal Beauty Plans: ‘I Don’t Want to Look Like a Virgin Getting Married’

Sofia Vergara already revealed that she’s “beyond” bridezilla status when it comes to planning her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Joe Manganiello. So it’s no surprise the detail-oriented star already has her bridal beauty look mapped out. How do we know? She told PEOPLE all about it.

Vergara joined her makeup artist and close friend Kayleen McAdams (yes, as in Rachel McAdams sister) at a CoverGirl event in N.Y.C. introducing the brand’s new Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation. And she spilled all her secrets on her makeup plan for the big day.

“Personally, I know that I don’t like the natural look that some brides do. I’m 43, I don’t really need to look like a virgin getting married,” Vergara told People at a CoverGirl event in honor of her wedding. “I want to look sexy. I want to look great. I want to look good and [wear] something that I know is going to look good in pictures. I know I’m going to do something that will make me feel pretty and well put together, like a bold lip, and this foundation.”

And Vergara doesn’t plan to dress like a typical cookie-cutter bride either.

“I already got married before. I don’t think I’m going to do a veil,” she shared. “I think I’m passed that virgin look.”

She’ll also stick to her go-to down hairstyle for the wedding — and for any red carpet events for the next 20 years.

“I think women once they hit 40, they shouldn’t put there hair up again until their 60,” she said. “I think in your 20s and 30s if you put it up you look great, once you’re 40 you age yourself putting your hair up, and then 60 you’re already old, so you really need to look well put together, so just put it up.”
