Thanks To A Few Fierce Ladies, Givenchy’s SS16 Menswear Show Was Stunning

If you haven’t been keeping up with your daily dose of style news (major side eye), then you’re probably unaware that Men’s Fashion Month is in full swing. And along with its innovative designs and the attractive bods modeling them, another popular element has made its way to the runway: gender-bending.
This season, Riccardo Tisci brought a feminine edge to Givenchy’s menswear show by including handpicked models that happen to be a few of his favorite girls. Joan Smalls, Kendall Jenner, Jamie Bochart, Candice Swanepoel and Mariacarla Boscono graced the runway by walking alongside the boys – and doing a fierce job, too, if you ask us.
Dressed in designs that were heavily accessorized, the designer’s girl crew wore everything from sheer dresses to black and white looks that fit in perfectly with the collection’s ‘confined male’ aesthetic. The brand’s male models, however, didn’t fail to disappoint by flaunting Christ-inspired sweatshirts and tees, classic overalls and knitted kilts over pinstriped pants.

In true Riccardo Tisci style (which involves going out with a bang, of course) Naomi Campbell rounded out the show with a pinstripe blazer, sleek black bikini, and the collection’s signature jailer’s key hanging from her neck – which was truly the cherry on top of this stunning presentation.
