Three Fashion Films to Get You in a Festive Mood

Dreading holiday travel, dry mashed potatoes and endless questions about your love life? (“Do you want me to pull up Tinder and show you what I’m dealing with, Aunt Helen?) Shake the holiday bah humbugs with these fun films that will have you jingle-jangling in no time.

First up is Karen Elson starring in every girl’s fashion fantasy: Her own music video set to the tune of “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend.” She starts out in one jaw-dropping, glittering bauble, then finds herself dripping in even more diamonds as the song goes on. There are tuxedoed back-up dancers, the iconic Cartier panther and oh-so-many opportunities for sparkle. And Elson embraces her Marilyn Monroe moment, gliding by on the arms of her dance companions and giving her best cheeky Seven Year Itch pose. (If you’re looking to splurge on a gift for someone special next year, we’d say recreating this entire spot would be pretty unbelievable. Of course, she should get to keep the jewelry.)

Next, Coach gets into the holiday spirit (well, kinda) with a funny short about a girl who wasn’t happy with her spot on the “naughty” list this year. She pays Santa a visit and leaves with what she wants … the purse she didn’t get the day before. Whether she asked nicely for it, you’ll have to find out.

If adorable puppies finding new homes doesn’t get you in the holiday spirit, we don’t know what will. Marc Jacobs’s ridiculously cute pup, Neville, heads to the airport to greet dogs rescued from Puerto Rico and brought to the U.S. to find new homes, all through The Sato Project. And to support the mission, the designer created a T-shirt from which 100 percent of proceeds will go to the organization. C’mon, you know you’re smiling now!
