Hard times continue for shoppers in Cincinatti, Ohio, as the local Saks Fifth Avenue has decided to make a strong shift in how they conduct business.

After representatives at Saks Fifth Avenue lost a deal to relocate from downtown Cincinnati to Sycamore Township at the new $200 million Kenwood Collection, the multinational corporation stunned fashion lovers as Chanel withdrew itself from inside the upscale department store. Shoes, handbags, and accessories are no longer available at 101 W. Fifth Street, yet the Saks store will continue to carry Chanel beauty and fragrance items.

Representatives are mum as to what will happen to the store in 2016 when they had been expected to move, but Chanel is still listing the downtown location on its website’s store locator as of Thursday afternoon. Spokespersons for both Saks in New York City and Chanel have yet to release comments or statements about the changeover.
