Choupette The Cat Gets Car Modeling Gig, Rises To Supermodel Status

Linda Evangelista,Christy Turlington, Tatjana Patiz, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and now Choupette. All these names have posed for the German automobile company, Opel. For their new Corsa model, the carmaker tapped in Karl Lagerfeld to photograph his pampered cat for Opel’s 2015 calendar.
Opel’s chief marketing officer Tina Müller told WWD that the whole girl-on-car thing was “slowly getting boring.” So, they went a totally different direction. Choupette is far from sexy, but is downright adorable. She is photographed pouncing on the hood, perched behind the steering wheel, and reflected through the rear-view mirror.
I don’t know about you, but this advertising tactic is totally working on us. Choupette definitely helped catch our attention to the automobile company. The calendar will be distributed to their European dealer and will have an unveiling event scheduled for next February.
