When news broke that Peter Dundas was departing from his position at Emilio Pucci, the fashion world barely had time to mourn – which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. In no time, the brand introduced his successor, announcing that Massimo Giorgetti would take over the reigns. And as for us, we were pretty excited – not only because Giorgetti is the mastermind behind the MSGM label, but because his passion for fun prints are a perfect fit for the position.

This week the new creative director debuted his first capsule collection for the Italian fashion house – calling it “The Pilot Episode – and instead of continuing where Dundas left off, he took the brand in a different direction. According to the New York Times, Giorgetti showed older prints from the label’s archive and even some of his own for a creative tribute to Pucci’s native, Florence.

The range presented embroidered textures, quirky silhouettes, bright hues and a new logo to the forefront. Not to mention, his ode to Italy’s capital came in the form of a dress featuring a tourist with a selfie stick! You really can’t get more modern than that.

Check out more images from the capsule line ahead.
