Is There Such A Thing As Too Much Prada?

When it comes to the September issue, the answer is yes.

Major publications are not too happy with Prada, after their embellished dress made the cover of more than one magazine. Katy Perry wore the dress on the cover of Vogue Japan, while Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a blue version of the dress for Harper’s Bazaar UK.

And it could have been worse.

According to Page Six, Gigi Hadid was set to wear the same dress on the cover of W Magazine, but it was pulled last minute after the magazine realized the ‘who wore it best’ moment.

W’s Stefano Tonchi denied the allegations by saying, “I always choose the cover image that I think is the strongest, and it’s selected independently of what the subject is wearing,”

Apparently, editors are “furious” with Prada because each magazine thought they had the exclusive on the dress.

Prada was definitely the most popular designer when it came to September issues. Along with the magazines mentioned above, that Prada dress was also seen inside Marie Claire and InStyle, and a similar version is on the cover of ELLE on Keira Knightley.

The rep responsible for sending out the same dress to multiple magazines is reportedly no longer working for Prada.
