‘OITNB’ Fever Begins With Two Flawless Magazine Covers

Is it June 12th yet?! We can hardly contain our excitement for the third season of Orange Is The New Black, one of the few shows to showcase women of all colors, shapes and sizes in complex roles. In celebration of the hugely successful Netflix series, our favorite inmates have traded in their orange jumpsuits for fashion that would put their fictional counterparts to shame.

Onscreen love interests Taylor Schilling (Piper) and Laura Prepon (Alex) have gone all “sexy Americana” on us for the July 2015 cover of Rolling Stone. If you can distract yourself from the flawless cleavage and beach wavey hair, an accompanying interview featuring other key cast members sheds light on their commonalities and camaraderie on set.

“We’re all grateful for this opportunity to be on a show that’s not about how skinny or young you are,” says Selenis Leyva (Gloria). “We know what it’s like to audition and be told you’re not the right type.”

Laverne Cox adds, “We’ve revolutionized television. The unprecedented diversity that we just saw in pilot season I think would not be possible if it weren’t for us.”

Speaking of Laverne, she and other fabulous brown girls–Samira Wiley, Danielle Brooks, Uzo Aduba, Vicky Jeudy and Adrienne Moore–are representing “sexy at every size” for the July 2015 cover of Essence.

Dressed in stylish orange (obviously) dresses and glammed to perfection, we’re seriously taken aback by this stunning shot. Get it, ladies!
