Sarah Jessica Parker Launches Bridal Shoes Company

Sarah Jessica Parker, fresh off her amazing saunter at the 2015 Met Gala in New York, graces the cover of the summer issue of Martha Stewart Weddings with a stunning new announcement.

The Sex and the City actress took six seasons and a spin off movie to marry her dream man, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know thing or two about bridal fashion. Which is why she’s the perfect person to go into bridal shoes. Her SJP Collection, which features handbags and outwear, was revealed in the mag with provide a full range of bridal shoes. The 50-year-old entrepreneur poses pretty in a sea of posies and showing off her new collection of heels.

Featured inside a blush box, the pumps come in an assortment of blue—including baby blue, sea foam blue, and a royal blue. Each pair is adorned with a little dash of bling-bling, creating a sight that’s far from traditional, but all around most engaging and beautiful. Her break from tradition mirrors her own bold style, as the actress wore black for her 1997 wedding to Matthew Broderick.

“At a wedding, people might strive for a more formal feeling, but a lot of the rules can be broken today,” she told Martha Stewart Weddings, where she announced the collection and gave wedding style advice. She does believe in the “something blue” rule though: “At my wedding, my shoes were teal velvet Robert Clergerie.” Chic.

Parker dished out some wedding tips, too, starting with bridal attire. “If I were getting married today, I’d likely wear cream, just to have that bridal experience.”
